Okla. Co-ops to Assist with Hurricane Irma Power Restoration Efforts

Seven cooperative crews are en route to assist a sister cooperative, Excelsior EMC, in Metter, Georgia with restoration efforts following projected impacts from Hurricane Irma. Greg Hambrick, OAEC’s Loss Control Instructor, is serving as a Team Leader for the crews.

Collectively, 46 men from Oklahoma co-ops are being dispatched to provide mutual aid. Electric cooperatives sending crews are:

- Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative based in Seminole, Okla. (7-man crew)
- Cimarron Electric Cooperative based in Kingfisher, Okla. (6-man crew)
- CKenergy Electric Cooperative based in Binger, Okla. (8-man crew)
- Oklahoma Electric Cooperative based in Norman, Okla. (8-man crew)
- East Central Okla. Electric Cooperative based in Okmulgee, Okla. (5-man crew)
- TCEC based in Hooker, Okla. (11-man crew)
