Description of Event
Fiber Climbing School is schedule to begin at 9:00am, Monday, June 27, 2023 and continue through Wednesday, June 29, 2023 at the OAEC Training Center. Registration is limited to the first 15 registered. Lunch will be own on.
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, all students are required to attend all classes and field exercises, as well as pass a written exam and competency tests on pole-top rescues.
Classes will not be postponed due to inclement weather so be sure to bring rain gear.
Students should bring the following: Materials Required
Students must have a complete set of climbing tools in proper working condition; before climbing, tools will be inspected by the instructor.
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Long-Sleeve Shirts (required when climbing)
- Work Gloves
- Rubber Gloves
- Handline (½ inch minimum)
- Suitable Boots for Climbing
- Hammer Screwdriver (flathead)
- Kliens/Pliers
- 2 Adjustable Wrenches
- Wooden folding Ruler
- And most important: POSITIVE ATTITUDE
