Shoot for the Nations is a sporting clays shooting event benefitting the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation. Today, 770 million people still live without access to electricity around the world. However, we believe that light can break through the darkness.

EVENT SCHEDULE – Sept. 25, 2026, Silverleaf Shotgun Sports in Guthrie,OK:
- Registration: 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
- Flurry Shoot (Optional): 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Volunteer Safety Meeting: 8:45 a.m.
- Mandatory Safety Meeting: 9:30 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m.
Be ready to shoot following mandatory safety meeting. If you miss the safety meeting, you will NOT be allowed to shoot. No exceptions.
FLURRY SHOOT: (*Must complete on-site registration)
Flurry includes a 2-person team to shoot 20 random targets set in the flurry field on Silverleaf grounds. It’s a fun way to warm up for the shoot competition! Price $20 per shooter/$40 per team

RULES:
1. All shooters must attend the mandatory safety meeting or they will not be allowed to shoot. No exceptions.
2. All shooters must be ready to shoot before the mandatory safety meeting begins (shotguns, shells, eye and ear protection, etc). This expedites getting everyone to their assigned station.
3. All shooters must provide their own shotgun, eye and ear protection (shells will be provided).
4. Shotguns must be carried with the muzzle either pointed up or down.
5. Shotguns must be open and empty until in the stand ready to shoot.
6. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on Silverleaf property.
7. Teams will consist of 4 team members; some teams may consist of 5 team members as Platinum sponsors are allowed to add a participant to a co-op shooting team.

Q&A:
What to do upon arrival?
Your team leader will need to proceed to the registration table upon arrival to check everyone in and provide signed liability waivers for all team members. The team leader will also receive the ammunition, eye and protective gear for each team member. After checking in you will receive scorecards for your team along with your starting station.
Be sure to have your shotguns ready prior to the mandatory safety meeting at 9:30 a.m.
What is Sporting Clays and what is the format of the event?
Sporting Clays is often referred to as “golf with a shotgun.”
The shoot will begin in the morning and conclude around lunch. Participants travel from station to station and shoot at 50 targets in different positions. Participants can compete as an individual or as a team. Score is kept and the individual or team that breaks the most clay targets wins.
What is the purpose of the ‘Shoot for the Nations’ event?
‘Shoot for the Nations’ is a fundraising event benefitting the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation, a 501(c)3 established by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives, to support international electrification projects.
