OKL Announces New Advertising & Marketing Specialist

Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives are pleased to announce that Steven Beck has been selected as Advertising & Marketing Specialist of its trade publication, Oklahoma Living magazine. This position is effective May 1, 2024.

Beck, a native of Pauls Valley, Okla., holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University. He previously served as agriculture instructor at Elmore City-Pernell Public Schools and Calera Public Schools. Most recently, Beck served for nearly six years a Member Services Representative at Rural Electric Cooperative based in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

With fundraising sales experience for the Garvin County Junior Livestock show, Beck is eager to join the team at the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives and contribute his skills to grow advertising sales for Oklahoma Livingmagazine while representing Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives.

In this position, Beck will be responsible for generating and maintaining print and digital ad sales and will represent the publication at trade shows, tourism events, co-op annual meetings and various networking and community events. He will also serve as a liaison to American MainStreet Publications, a national advertising cooperative.

Beck thrives on building relationships with individuals and businesses and forming connections. On the side, he raises market show goats for 4-H and FFA members and likes to run, recently running the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon. He is the proud uncle of his first niece, Parker Ann.
