The Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) is pleased to announce that Christy Moore has been selected as Member Services Specialist for the statewide association that represents 30 electric cooperatives. This position is effective February 1, 2023.

Moore is a native of McAlester, Okla. She has served Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives for the past four years, most recently as the government affairs assistant and previously as member service representative for the Energize Credit Union, a financial institution that exists to serve electric cooperative employees statewide. Before joining OAEC, Moore worked in the member services department at Central Rural Electric Cooperative based in Stillwater.

While at OAEC, Moore has been essential in the ongoing development of the OAEC legislative app, the OAEC legislative pictorial guides and the ‘Out of the Gate’ legislative reception. She will continue to be involved in these efforts while carrying out other member services related duties.

In her new role, Moore will be responsible for helping to coordinate employee and director trainings, professional employee associations’ meetings and conferences and statewide events. Moore’s dedication, enthusiasm and talents will provide continuous improvement to OAEC programs and will showcase the cooperative difference.

On the side, Moore enjoys spending time with her grandkids, painting, decorating, baking, boating and crafting. Moore resides in Yukon with her husband, Aaron.
