OAEC Announces New Multimedia Specialist Position
The Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) is pleased to announce that Nicole Bode has been selected as Multimedia Specialist for the statewide association that represents 30 electric cooperatives. This position is effective February 1, 2023.
Bode, a native of Stillwater, Okla., holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University. Bode has served Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives for the past seven years as member services specialist. Previously, she was a communications intern and clerk at Central Rural Electric Cooperative based in Stillwater.
An award-winning and talented professional, Bode is eager to transition to this new role at OAEC. In this position, she will be responsible for carrying out a creative communications strategy that will support OAEC’s member-system cooperatives and OAEC departments. She enjoys bringing ideas to life and is passionate about visual storytelling and communicating the cooperative message with excellence.
On the side, Bode enjoys painting, hiking and watching the Blue Angels fly over Pensacola beach with family. She has done freelance video work for a golf company showcasing their involvement with Boys and Girls Club of America; her work was presented to the PGA. She has completed several photography projects for friends and family. Bode has documented several trips of the Oklahoma Youth Tour with her photography and videography skills and has volunteered for Special Olympics Oklahoma throughout her OAEC career.
